Saturday January 28, 2012
6:00 p.m
in the Parish Center at St. Mary's
Cost : $7.00
$5.00 for children ages 5 -12.
under 5 free or
Families (parents and children) $25.00
The menu includes pasta, meatballs & sauce, salad/dressing, Italian bread, dessert & beverage.
Volunteers are needed to make desserts for the Pasta Dinner. If you are willing to prepare a dessert, please let the office know. 315-524-2611

It's Fish Fry time….
Fish Fry 2012
Fish Fry will run from 4:00 – 7:00
p.m. every Friday during Lent in the Parish Center at St. Mary's of the
Lake
We look forward to having you come to the fish fry and we need your help to pull this off again this year! We will be serving in the Parish Center at St. Mary’s again this year. Working the Fish Fry is a great time and a fun way to share your time with our church and your community. Please download the volunteer form below and look over the optionsand see if you can help us out in any way! Because each job has a sort of “learning curve,” it is really best if all volunteers can commit to at least 2 or 3 nights of the fish fry dates..
It takes a group of people to pull off a fish fry every week. So please we need your help!! If you would like to volunteer by phone, please call Michele @ 315-524-2611 x 11. You can also click here to email Michele.
So download and look over the form below. If you decide to help out please return the form to Michele. Please make note of the dates and times that you picked to volunteer. If you signup and can not make one of your nights, please call Michele ASAP and let her know.
Please sign up no later than Feb 1st so we can begin arranging and forming groups as soon as possible. Hopefully we can all meet together the following week.

St.
Max Finance Council... meets once
per
quarter (or as needed) to provide financial recommendations to the
pastor and approve the annual budget regarding the use of
parish funds for both current operations and special projects.
Some of you have wondered... how the Catholic Courier gets funded. Every January and July you will find a blue colored envelope in you packet of envelopes that are mailed to your home. These envelopes help provide our parish with revenue to help offset the cost of the Catholic Courier. Any shortfall from these envelopes is the responsibility of the Parish. The Parish currently does not receive enough of these envelopes back to cover the cost of the Courier in our Parish. At the direction of the Diocese, the Catholic Courier is sent to every registered household. It’s the Diocese’s desire that this means of communication be kept in place so every household will have the opportunity to read about events in the diocese and what goes on in our Catholic life. Our yearly parish subscription bill is $10,820. Against this expense we have only received $1,944.00 in contributions to date. We have a ways to go to close this gap which will ultimately help the Parish’s bottom line.

ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED....
We are in great need of more Altar Servers to serve at our 4:45 PM
Masses on Saturday afternoon at St. Mary's of the Lake . This is a
great way to get your family more involved in the church. Many who have
served as Altar Servers are now Communion Ministers, Lectors, and
Cantors. Please consider asking your children to serve in this ministry
on Saturday afternoon. By serving on Saturday you and your children can
sleep in on Sunday morning. Training will be provided on a group or
individual basis. Please call the office to sign up.
